Life Transitions

Support for adults in Memphis navigating major life changes: career shifts, moves, new stages, and uncertainty about what's next. In-person and telehealth.

When You're Between Who You Were
and Who You're Becoming

A new job, a move, a relationship ending, a milestone birthday that has you questioning everything. Life transitions don't always look like a crisis from the outside, but they can leave you feeling unmoored, second-guessing decisions you used to make without thinking twice.

Finding Solid Ground While Things Are Shifting

Transitions ask you to let go of something familiar before you're sure what's next. We work on building steadiness in the uncertainty itself, so you're not just waiting for things to feel normal again before you can function.

What This Looks Like in Practice

Sessions draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and interpersonal approaches to help you:

  • Clarify what actually matters to you in this new chapter

  • Make decisions without needing total certainty first

  • Grieve what's ending while staying open to what's next

  • Rebuild a sense of identity that isn't tied to the old version of your life

Who This Work Is For

Adults navigating a career change, a move, a breakup, a major milestone, or any stretch where the ground feels less solid than it used to, especially if you're used to having a plan and don't have one right now.

Questions Before You Start

"Is this even a 'big enough' reason for therapy?"

Transitions don't have to be dramatic to be disorienting. If it's taking up real space in your mind, it's worth talking through.

"What if I don't know what I want yet?"

That's often exactly where this work starts. You don't need clarity to begin.
